Q What is the process if we are interested in finding out more about property availability?
A The first step is to contact us, either via email or by calling our office. We will have a brief discussion about what you are looking for and then agree upon the best way to get you the most appropriate information.
Q What kind of standards can we expect in the properties?
A Our properties range in size and types of amenities. The staff at Country Roads will help you narrow down your search by asking you to indicate what qualities are most important to you and directing you to the properties that will best suit your needs.
Q Why rent with Country Roads versus finding a property on-line or in the newspaper classifieds?
A There are almost too many reasons to list!
- Access to a much larger selection of properties in a given location as we work with more than ten companies as well as our "private" owners.
- More than twelve years of villa rental experience to ensure that you actually get what you believe you purchased.
- Peace of mind that your property has been inspected and meets our standards.
- The ability to ask specific questions about the property and surrounding region.
- Guarantees that should something go wrong with the property, before or after you arrive, you will have the support of Country Roads and its suppliers.
- Country Roads is a member of TICO which means your money is safe with us.
Q What are the payment terms?
A Payment terms are 35% deposit upon booking with final payment due 10 weeks prior to departure. Travel insurance is recommended at time of booking.
Q What is the minimum time we can rent for?
A It depends on the accommodation, it can be for as little as two nights.
Q How does the pricing work - are some times of the year more cost-friendly than others?
A Prices do change throughout the year. Off-season rentals afford great price reduction opportunities, and the ability to rent for a few days rather than a week.
Q What advantages are there to renting a house versus staying in a hotel?
A Many!
- The chance to truly experience the local culture and community at a more relaxed pace.
- More spacious accommodations - a wonderful advantage when travelling with family or friends, allowing you to savor cocktails on your own private veranda or enjoy a leisurely brunch at whatever time of day you chose!
- Renting a home is almost always less expensive than staying a in a hotel.
- Cooks get their own kitchens and a great excuse to spend time in the local markets.
- Wine lovers can visit local producers and compare vintages.
- The freedom to set your own schedule while enjoying the comforts of "home".
- The comfort and convenience of staying in one location versus packing and unpacking frequently.
